Andrew brings over 20 years of global expertise in the planning, analysis, design, and construction of dams and spillways. He’s worked on geotechnical and geological site characterization, dam rehabilitation, tunnels, dam safety reviews, forensic studies, numerical modelling, and more.
With a unique understanding of dam safety, water resources and scarcity, the power markets, environmental studies, climate change adaptation and resilience, and the energy remix, Andrew focuses his role as sector leader on technical excellence and growing net revenue for both global and national clients. As a leader, he balances a global outlook, adaptability, an agile management style, and an appreciation for different working cultures and regional practices. Currently, Andrew is serving as the construction manager for the Springbank Offstream Reservoir project, a critical flood mitigation venture in the city of Calgary that will prevent flooding similar to what occurred in 2013.
Andrew seeks continual improvement through professional development, mentorships, lesson learned, and his natural curiosity. He enjoys travelling and has worked extensively overseas on international projects in the UK, Oman, UAE, Jamaica, Chile, and Peru. Echoing his value of promoting a strong work life balance for his team, Andrew spends his spare time skiing, snowboarding, and backpacking when he’s not travelling for a project or pleasure.
